     Telling a tale,    hands-on fun

Narrative

I have written a number of short stories for children, and have also adapted tales from myths, legend and folklore from around the world. Incredible Journeys follows the magical and mysterious journeys of Odysseus, Oisín, Sindbad the Sailor, Kupe, Mirrigan the Tiger-Cat and many more.

Narrative also forms an important element in some of my history and wildlife non-fiction. Lost Journals: Mysteries of the Nile follows the fictional diary of an investigative reporter as he travels down the Nile in 1924. His jottings are checked against the real-life evidence of tombs, temples and pyramids.

Activities

Many of the information books I have written are supported by projects, crafts, activities, games or visits. Sometimes these are the chief focus of the book.
