Introducing
North Wales
The northwest of
Wales is a land of mountains, seashores,
forests, lakes and farmland – and sheep are
everywhere. This is a stronghold of the
Welsh language. The Isle of Anglesey, or Ynys
Môn, has rich marine habitats and birdlife, and
remarkable archaeological sites dating back to
prehistory.
These books, written
chiefly for adults, uncover this rich past and
celebrate the various landscapes. They also seek
to present everyday North Wales life as it
really is today, aiming to engage the interest
of those living here as well as visitors.
Darlunio Cymru fel y mae hi – dyna fwriad y
llyfrau sydd ar y tudalen hon. Mae harddwch a
bywyd gwyllt Gogledd Cymru yn cael ei
ddisgrifio, hefyd hanes cyfareddol Ynys Môn
o’r cynfyd tan y ganrif ddiwethaf. Ond dyma
hefyd bortreadau o Sir Fôn gyfoes, ei
phoblogaeth, iaith a gwaith. Mae Môn Mam Cymru
wedi cael ei gydnabod fel llyfr defnyddiol,
cynhwysfawr ac unigryw.
